A podiatrist treats clients with foot complaints and complaints that result from the

malfunction of the feet, such as complaints about the knee, hip or low back pain.

This may include: gait and posture  abnormalities, leg length differences, 

complaints due to overpressure, sports injuries, foot problems by children,

abnormalities of the toes, skin conditions (corns and calluses), foot complaints

with Diabetes Mellitus and rheumatism and wound treatments.

There are various treatment options for reducing or remedying complaints:

insoles, advice, orthosis, foot treatments, Health sandals with built-in arch

supports and wound treatments. During the first appointment we will determine

which treatment is suitable for you. Take your proof of identity and shoes that you

often wear with you during your first appointment.

Sport Podiatrist

A sports podiatrist treats athletes who have complaints about their feet, ankles, knees, hips and back or

who want advice on the sport the client performs. The sports podiatrist not only treats foot complaints, but

examines the entire gait, posture and looks for the cause of the foot complaint.

Foot examination

Have you made an appointment at Podiatry Thailand? Then an examination is done by one of our foot

specialists. Through this examination, the specialist tries to find out what your symptoms are and what

possible causes are for the symptoms.

During the interview, the specialist tries to get as much information as possible to reduce the symptoms.

This is important for further investigation and starting the right treatment. The examination consists of an

inspection, palpation, functional examination, gait analysis and shoe inspection. One or more components

are applied depending on your complaints.

During the inspection, the podiatrist looks at the position of the feet, abnormalities, discolorations and/or

details. The inspection is generally performed on the Podoscope. A Podoscope is a glass plate with a mirror

underneath so that the podiatrist can assess the pressure under your feet.

During the palpation, the causes of the complaints are searched for.

The pain spot can be located by means of palpation. The palpation is

followed by a functional examination in which the movement

possibilities of the feet and, if necessary, the knee, hip and back are

examined. Restrictions on movement can cause various complaints

and cause a different walking pattern.

After obtain the above information, the gait pattern will be

considered. The settlement and movements of the feet and possibly

knee, hip and torso are considered. Shoes are also an important

aspect of the research. For example, we look at wear and tear of the

shoe, but also whether the current footwear is suitable for both

complaints and possible treatment.

Children's podiatry

assess the pressure distribution and pressure points of the child's foot. The specialist can also investigate

other matters: your child's shoes, feet and position of the feet, the mobility of the feet and the way your child

walks.

The sooner you start correcting your child's feet and legs, the more effect it will have in later life. A support

sole can prevent or remedy. In addition, it is important to buy good shoes for your child. Children's shoes

must have the right fit and be suitable for the feet. It is important to take into account the growth of

children's feet. Especially at a young age the feet can sometimes grow a number of sizes in half a year. The

muscles of the foot cannot always keep up with this growth. You can notice improvement with foot exercises.
